Heytesbury Stud in conjunction with Vasse Felix wines is welcoming all breeding and racing enthusiasts to its annual open day on Sunday 22nd August, commencing at 11am.

 

Included in the day will be the parade of exciting new sire Husson Lightning, a precocious group winning two year-old by the most successful group one winner producing sire in Australia today, Hussonet.  Husson Lightnings outstanding first crop yearlings will also be paraded, they are a must see product of this rising star amongst the WA stallion ranks, and their inspection will not disappoint.

 

Popular multiple group winning three year-old Saxon, by Danehill from the regally bred mare Jeanetta Cochrane by Sadler's Wells, will also be paraded along with his first crop two year-olds, who will hit the racetracks this coming season.  Immensely popular with breeders, Saxon is now represented by a large number of quality first crop rising two year-olds in the hands of some of West Australia's leading trainers including Lou Luciani, Adam Durrant, Tony Noonan, Ben Pearce, David Harrison, Bob McPherson and Brett Pope.  Saxon is certainly now poised to take his next successful step in his stallion career.

 

Associate resident sire Lord Dane, himself a stakes winner producing son of the all conquering Danehill sireline will join both Husson Lightning and Saxon on parade.

Vasse Felix wines based in Margaret River will provide wine tasting for those wishing to sample the premium Vasse Felix wine range, there will be finger food and light refreshments available on the day.
