Leading bloodstock agent John Chalmers had been impressed by the first crop of Ouqba, who will be yearlings next month.
Ouqba (Red Ransom-Dancing Mirage, Machiavellian) won the Listed Newmarket European Handicap (1400m) by 2 3/4 lengths beating Art Connoisseur, who later won the Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Chalmers negociated the deal for Paul Holmes a Court to secure Ouqba for Heytesbury Stud.
"I simply cannot be more impressed with what Ouqba has produced", Chalmer said.
"His weanlings have great strength, are strong quartered youngsters with good length of body and exceptionally correct. They are two year old types which should train on. It is difficult to see such a good class of European sprinter-miler, bred the way he is, failing to make an impression on WA racetracks."
